HESC Core Lab Overview

green_sun.jpgThe Human Embryonic Stem Cell (hESC) laboratory provides comprehensive support service for hESC researchers at the University of Southern California and at neighboring institutions. The laboratory maintains and supplies stock of quality-controlled hESC lines, including many not on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) registry. The provision of space, equipment and expertise enables investigators new to hESC research to undertake pilot projects and generate preliminary data, including projects utilizing non NIH-approved cell lines. The staff who operate this facility develop and evaluate new methodology for hESC propagation and will provide formal training in practical aspects of hESC experimentation. The hESC laboratory also has capabilities to derive new hESC lines as the requirement emerges.

Dr. Vicki Fox is the hESC core lab manager and can be contacted on 323-442-7884 or via email at victoria.fox@keck.usc.edu
